Day 01 | Thursday 20th June 2019
We are super excited to be visiting Framestore's new Chancery Lane building this year. To compliment this graduate showcase and alumni reunion event we thrilled to announce that computational artist Andy Lomas will also be showcasing his latest 'Morphogentic Creations'. Andy is considered a pioneer in computational art and is considered by many as a pioneer in the field of computer graphics. His work exists at the boundary between art and science. If you would like to attend please visit our Eventbrite Page here - alternatively email [email protected]
Whilst we would love to take everyone down to London, unfortunately spaces are limited and to help us decide who to take down it is important that you provide us with as much information about yourself, your work and your career aspirations as you can. For those of you that have already submitted a Vimeo URL link and/or One drive URL link as part of your ExpoTees registration page, thank you. We will be looking at this material in preparation to speaking with you as part of the ExpoTees Middlesbrough in May.

Once again ExpoTees are going to be in London and this year we are proud to be working alongside the award winning animation, vfx & new media studio - The Mill. To complement a selection of student animation and visual effects video material playing in The Mill’s screening room starting at 5pm on Thursday the 8th of June , there will be an opportunity to meet the graduates joining the industry in 2017. ExpoTees London is a unique opportunity to speak to graduating students, talk to them about their projects, view their portfolios and listen to their ideas. There will also be an opportunity to network with School of Computing, Media & the Arts alumni.
You are advised to head to the SO Hostel, 91 Dean Street, London W1D 3SY and check in from 2pm onwards. It is important that you leave any luggage at the Hostel as there will be very little opportunity or room at The Mil to store personal possessions. Prior to ExpoTees starting at 5pm there will be a tour of the facility starting at 4pm. In this the fifth year of the London Employability field trip we’re really excited about the prospect of adding a new studio’s to this year itinerary. A special thanks goes out to Teesside University alumni Daniel Crooke for taking the time-out to show us around MILK VFX. We’re really looking to what is turning out to be a jam packed day of animation & vfx talks, tours and questions. As this years studio tour requires some quick walking between venues you are advised to bring with you a packed lunch or alternatively some loose change to allow you to quickly visit a sandwich shop between appointments. Don’t forget to research the studio’s listed below so that when the opportunity arises you can ask some good questions. This is great opportunity for you to stand out from the crowd. So don’t waste it !
